Meet the incredible folks at ENC ABA and find out more about why they love what they do and some fun facts about them!

Staff Spotlights

What inspired you to start/run this ABA clinic?

Jessica: For us we had a launching point, that we wanted to extend the reach to this community. We felt called to the area to serve families impacted with autism, and families as a whole.

Josh: When we created the business we wanted to take into account how staff feel and are treated. We wanted to create an environment that values you and a place to find your individual purpose

What do you love most about working in ABA?

Jessica: The KIDS!! We wanted to have more freedom to implement science based practice without some barriers of school systems.

Josh: We love being able to do things our way and leaning on experience in the field, with a focus on quality.

What’s the most rewarding part of your role?

Jessica: The most rewarding part of our job is hearing feedback from families of life changes, progress, and milestones. For example, we value hearing families perspective, siblings interacting with each other in new ways, and new vocalizations.

Josh: Staff sticking with you for multiple years and seeing the growth throughout the years.

What’s your go-to coffee order?

Jess: Venti caramel macchiato hot

Josh: Hot cappuccino

What’s a favorite book or podcast related to leadership for ABA?

Jess: Every morning to start the day, I do a Bible study plan relating to life experiences, guidance for the company, or environment of the clinic. My bible reading plan can speak life into the situation, or help recover from hard moments and seasons. I seek what scripture says about those things and I use it to help guide the company and the environment of the clinic.

Josh: Part of my social media algorithm is leadership videos, perspective shifts, or management related. So I gain a lot of wisdom and knowledge from videos like that.

If you weren’t in ABA, what career would you have chosen?

Jess: I would’ve stayed in teaching in special education

Josh; I would still be in church and being a part of the financial side of ministry or playing guitar on the worship team.

Dogs or cats?

Jess: dogs!

Josh: cats but preferable none

Favorite snack to keep at the clinic?

Jess: I love candy nerds, sweet/sour gummy, Reeses (I do this thing when I get them from the store where I will feel them to make sure Reeses are squishy)

Josh: I don’t typically have snacks but when I do it’s chips and dip.

Favorite way to celebrate team wins?

We love doing BCBA shout outs, or shout outs amongst the team! We also like to privately give recognition to staff across the board as well as public recognition and celebrating together.

If our clinic had a theme song, what would it be?

Can’t Stop The Feeling- Justin Timberlake

What advice would you give someone new to ABA?

Jessica: Don't give up, it is insanely hard. If you can get through the first 90 days, you can develop the skills. It takes time to figure out the rhythm, so have patience!

Josh: On the business side, make sure you connect with resources or people who have done this for longer. Also know who to call, they can help your figure out and give you resources that others can’t.

What would you want families to know about our clinic?

Jessica: We are going to love your child like our own regardless of what they bring to the table. We want families to feel like they have a place where they feel accepted and loved. That is super important to us.

Josh: We want them to know that we will do anything in our power to not let financial circumstances get in the way. We want them to be able to have access to services without worrying about the financial side of things.

What’s your hope for families who walk through our doors?

Jessica/Josh: We hope that they will see ENC ABA as a place of refuge, hope. That they will see meaningful changes in their child to have a better quality of life in their family. We want them to have an overall positive experience and to see progress, and eventually discharge due to meeting goals. We hope that we can instill a sense of trust with us and that we’re doing everything we can to help them be successful in life.
