Autism Facts

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a unique and diverse developmental disability that brings with it a spectrum of challenges in social skills, repetitive or restricted behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. But don't worry, we're here to help you navigate this colorful world.

According to the CDC, 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with ASD each year. Boys are diagnosed at a rate 4x higher than girls, generally due to the way symptoms present in early childhood. Symptoms of ASD are typically evident between 12-24 months, but some individuals show signs a bit earlier or later.

Early intervention is key to making progress in communication, social skills, and behavioral challenges. Together we can make a positive difference in their lives, one wave at a time!
